    Every bag has two prices: what the origin was paid, what the shelf charges. The industry was built so only one of them moves on purpose, a roaster can raise a price tomorrow, and the origin's share doesn't rise with it.

    20% of the price a coffee consumer pays is directly tied to the price that coffee's origin was paid. One formula. Move one number, the other moves with it. There's no version of this where they come apart.

    Coffee should be good enough that one cup turns into a second, and the second into a standing order. Not coffee you admire once and set down. Coffee you keep reaching for. We source and roast for that on purpose, every lot, sweet enough to want more of, not just impressive enough to write about.
