The Producer’s Art
The producers below work across eight countries, and each name opens a page about them, and which coffees are from them, starting with Edwin Martinez, a coffee friend since 2004.
Check The Math
At least 20% of the retail price of every bag stays in the country that grew it. Producers know the origin price, so they know what you paid.
- Bag retail: $22.00
- Stays at origin: (20%) $4.40
- Always 20% or higher
Pour It Forward
Coffee roasted in City Heights gets poured on our bar and at Relic Bakery, Cala, La Clochette, Best Coffee and Nosh Box, and brewed at home by anyone who takes a bag with them. Whatever gets poured and bought in all of those places shapes the next green buy.
San Diego Coffee.
The building has been here since the 1930s, through a vinyl era in the 70s, underground punk in the 80s and a quiet stretch before the roaster moved in. Come grab a cup with us.
The record.
We roast for the cup in front of you. Medals are the happy recognition that happens along the way. Coffee Review has scored six of our coffees between 90 and 95 points, one landing in their Top 30 Coffees of the year. Golden Bean has handed us medals for espresso, oat milk, filter, and decaf, gold included, across three years running.
We source for sweetness and complexity. Roast on purpose. And always aim to amaze.
