This coffee represents the sweetness that comes when a mother and daughter work together. Carolina and her mom Maria Victoria are careful by nature and their coffee is a result of the attention to detail they pour into each step of the process. This Caturra washed is perfectly picked, fermented, washed and selected. A chocolate and fruity cup full of strawberries and fudge with a fresh thyme aftertaste. Harvested in Andes, Antioquia, a vast coffee region in Colombia, this delicious cup of coffee is obtained after mixing two different batches of coffee harvested with one day of difference. Once picked, the cherries are fermented for about 9 hours, then depulped and fermented for another 27 hours. A day after, the next batch is added and fermented for 14 more hours before washing it and drying it for about 2 to 3 weeks.

San Antonio

Carolina Ramirez is one of our UVI stars. A lawyer, an endurance runner, AND an incredible specialty coffee farmer, she truly is an inspiring woman. The embodiment of the excitement we believe seeing young people working in coffee farms represents. Having studied law in Medellin, she decided to go back to Andes to live with her parents at their farm when the pandemic hit and fell in love with the specialty coffee world and its production chain. Nowadays, all of her coffees are designs made alongside her mother, and they both are in charge of selection and processing.

Proportional Pricing

Out of the $400 billion coffee industry, a meager 5% stays where it's grown, leaving farmers with crumbs. At Torque, we're rewriting this injustice. Our radical approach ensures equity for coffee producers, shifting power dynamics.

Here's the game-changer: Coffee producers were pre-paid a guaranteed 20% upfront based on the retail price of their coffee. Simple. Transparent. Fair. We call it Proportional Pricing©. Pay more, they earn more. This reshapes the value equation.

No more opaque systems. No more exploitation. We start with the value you see on the shelf, ensuring 20% flows back to the hands that cultivate your cup. It's called Proportional Pricing©, a seismic shift in coffee's worth chain. It's farmer equity, pure and simple.

We're breaking norms, building a fairer future. Torque Coffees reverse-engineered the chain, advocating for a balanced, equitable industry. It's time to empower those who make your coffee. Together, let's dismantle inequality in the coffee world.
